National Book Festival 2019


The 2019 National Book Festival took place at Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019. Starting at 9:30 a.m., more than 140 authors, illustrators and poets made presentations on stages dedicated to kids, fiction, history, biography, poetry, science and more. Many fascinating thematic programs and panel discussions were offered throughout the festival. A Main Stage of 4,000 seats featured seven of the most popular festival authors.

The main stage also featured Richard Ford, José Andrés, David Brooks, Raina Telgemeier, David McCullough and Michael Beschloss.
